There’s not enough words to describe the beautiful Umrah Homecoming experience, that would truly echo the joy in the heart. Firstly, anyone reading this should know that this was my third BR retreat (I have previously went to Jamaica and Egypt – two other highly recommended experiences). The Umrah Homecoming was the first trip my husband and I planned when we got married last year, because we wanted to start our journey off together with our deen and he had heard me rave so much about Wafa and Burgundy Roots that he also trusted this was the best way to go to Umrah. And aH it totally was for both of us. From performing group umrah, being guided by the light that is Mustafa Briggs with daily classes, to a curated itinerary that was a solid mix of enriching, entertaining and chill, and choosing the best locations for group meals and hotels, to an amazing group of humans from all over the globe who have become lifetime friends, I’m so grateful we went on THIS trip. Highly recommend for anyone who is looking to feel more connected not only to their deen, but also to wanting to be more educated and empowered about the history and blessings of umrah, and have a great time in other parts of Saudi. Wafa and her team pride their retreats on excellence in all things, and this is the third time I’ve been a witness to this truth personally. We had the best tour guides who each gave us a different experience of our Islamic heritage and Saudi culture. 11/10 recommend for anyone seeking to feel closer to their deen, connect with other likeminded Muslims and have an experience of a lifetime!! We are currently in conversation of what our next BR trip will be! ♥️
